Gidan Dawa Football Club was founded in February 2018 in the heart of Gidan Dawa, Oyo State, Nigeria. What began as a grassroots initiative by a group of football enthusiasts quickly grew into one of the most vibrant clubs in the local football ecosystem.
From our very first kick-off, GDFC has been committed to nurturing local talent, promoting sportsmanship, and giving back to the community through our humanitarian wing — the Gidan Dawa Foundation (GDF).
We are proud hosts of the GDFC Super League Cup, which we organize twice a year, bringing together clubs from across the region and creating a platform for youth development and competitive football.

GDFC hosted the inaugural Gidan Dawa Super League Cup, drawing clubs from across the state. The tournament was a resounding success.
The humanitarian wing GDF was launched with its three core pillars: Food Bank, Personal Hygiene & Sanitation, and Legal & Freedom Pursuit.
The squad grew significantly, attracting talented players from surrounding communities. Youth Academy launched formally.
