The Gidan Dawa Foundation (GDF) is the humanitarian heart of Gidan Dawa Football Club.
We believe that a great football club must also be a force for good in its community. Founded as the official humanitarian wing of GDFC, GDF operates at the intersection of sport and social responsibility.
Our work spans three critical areas of community need: food security, health and environmental sanitation, and legal protection and freedom. Every initiative we undertake is driven by our conviction that every person in our community deserves to live with dignity.

Three programs, one mission — lifting our community
The GDF Food Bank Initiative addresses food insecurity in Gidan Dawa and its environs. We organize regular food distribution drives, partner with local food suppliers, and create sustainable food support systems for vulnerable families — the elderly, widows, orphans, and those facing economic hardship.
Distribution of food items to over 500 families during the Holy Easter week across some churches in Katsina State.
Distribution of food packs to over 2000 children during the Holy Month of Ramadan across Katsina State.
Distribution of support kits to school children to support their study during the academic session.
Through our Hygiene & Sanitation program, GDF conducts community clean-up exercises, distributes hygiene kits (soap, hand sanitizers, sanitary products), organizes health awareness campaigns, and advocates for improved sanitation infrastructure in Gidan Dawa.

A massive environmental sanitation drive covering major streets and public spaces in Gidan Dawa.
The Legal & Freedom Pursuit program provides free legal awareness, connects community members with legal aid, supports individuals facing unjust detention, and advocates for the rights of the vulnerable. We believe that justice must be accessible to all — not just those who can afford it.
Providing legal support and welfare packages to prisoners who have spent years awaiting trial.
Provision of free legal advice and representation for indigent community members in Gidan Dawa.
